The Yahoo Finance Widget provided a desktop view of selected stocks’ performance. It could be collapsed to only show current status, or expanded to show charts and a ticker of current, related news items.

Midway through the development process, the styling of core Yahoo Widgets changed from their traditionally dark, glossy appearance to a lighter, flatter style. I reworked the design with those ideals in mind and the lighter version was coded and released.
