I consider myself very fortunate.

I’m in an industry with a career where something new is always happening. There’s always new techniques to try and new marketplaces for created work. Just around the corner there’s a new skill to learn or tool to try or an entire industry that was unheard of a month ago, and at the intersection of these paths are found the solutions to problems and realization of ideas.

Instead of donut charts here claiming to be “95.5% Illustrator” and “96.2% Photoshop” I’ll say that I’m skilled in the use of standard design tools as well as numerous smaller tools and utilities (including those I’ve written myself).

When offline, I can be found sketching, cycling, travelling, scuba diving, hiking, flying kites, taking photos, or finding the just-right song to close out a playlist.
