Jigsaw Puzzle

Desktop Widget

The Puzzle Widget was the final desktop Widget to be produced by Yahoo. It showcased new drawing features in the Widget Engine and improvements to the Widget DOM. Users could drag and drop their own images to the Widget, choose scaling, rotation, and number of pieces and have a custom puzzle generated.

Developed the UI and UX design
Wrote the Widget’s code

Puzzle tabs were drawn in Adobe Illustrator, exported as PDF, and the generated coordinates translated for use with the Widget Engine’s canvas element to generate thousands of possible random piece shapes
